Boldness is merely confidence which is how much we regard something to be true. If a person is praying for more boldness, it technically means that they lack confidence in what they believe. I dont think there is anything wrong with praying for more boldness, as long as you use what boldness you already have and some that you believe that you recieve, praying... Boldness will be there once the focus shifts from the "boisterous wind and waves" back to the faithfulness of the Word! And this is the confidence we have IN HIM...
