Hi Karine

We have at times experienced it that people do vomit when demons are expelled. It doesn't happen every time nor does it need to happen before the demon leaves. Fear is a common emotion during deliverance because of the manifestations but it sounded to me like the way they approached this was not the best way. Also, the fear people experience is sometimes the demon manifesting through through the soul, afraid of what is happening to it. The fear is often not your own fear.

Confusion sets in when people don't explain things properly. Things like proper doctrine, what to expect or what might happen etc. This usually happens because they don't know the whole truth or propagate traditions like the ones you mentioned about confession and generational curses. Fear happens when people are not prepared to handle a situation. The church does not train people to deal with demons so when they do come across them, people get afraid. That is sad but true. It grieves me when people get hurt by other people through the process of deliverance. If you hurt somebody, physically or emotionally, you did it wrong.

There is nothing wrong with getting loud when you talk to demons, Jesus got loud too. But it is not the loudness that drives them away, it is the authority and power of the Spirit. Many people draw on their authority and power easier when they get louder. Imagine talking to a dog who doesn't want to go out. Talking nice doesn't help, the moment you raise your voice a little, it obeys. Same principle really.

If you want to know more about the stupid theology of having to confess sins before God will do something, please read the article below:

As for generational curses, here is a good article on that although I need to work on a more detailed one soon.

Hello Rensia,

I'm always curious about this deliverance thing. My previous church arrange a "deliverance camp" each year, and we were forced to confess our sins from a list they provided. I was never at peace at the process because i was sure that Jesus bore all my sins and i'm free from any curse.

But my counsellor at that time convinced me that even as christian we all should be delivered from generational curses by being prayed by someone. So she prayed for me, and she said not to worry if i throw up because that's how evil spirits came out of our body. I did throw up a couple of times, while trembling out of fear at the same time.

I was not at peace and confused after the camp. I was terrified of the fact that i have been a christian for so long yet there were still evil spirits dwelt in my body. This confusions raised many questions which thankfully answered since i embrace many messages about God's grace.

My question to you: what made me throw up at deliverance? i wasn't possesed, i could clearly think and well aware. Could it be because of fear? Because my counsellor keep praying, sometimes screaming to the devil infront of my face while laying her hands on me.

Awesome testimony Rensia. Ha-ha, I just thought about your situation: You were glad to get away from a house of people (your brother & dad) that were casting out devils, and then you married someone like Cornel!!!! Haaa-haa!!

God does have a unique sense of humor.

I was very blessed by your testimony though, as I'm sure lots of others will be too.

Glory to Glory, Grace to Grace.

Hi Rensia! AMEN! I am very glad to hear that you received that revelation in regards to deliverance as YOUR OWN! The devils might as well WATCH OUT because you got the REVELATION! Especially those religious ones who hate grace & truth.

Be encouraged always!
