My previous list was about what the Holy Spirit doesn’t do. It is a very important list (read it here) but even more important is an understanding of what the Holy Spirit actually does do, in us, through us and to us. Now you can read the functions as I wrote them, skip the verses and think ‘Mmm, yes. Amen brother.’ Or, you can actually go look at it closer and get to know Holy Spirit better. I believe the lack of power in the church today is directly due to the fact that we hardly know the Holy Spirit. He has been pushed aside for far too long. It’s time we get reacquainted.
My life as a believer can be characterised in 2 very different stages. The first stage was knowing Jesus and the Father. That was all good and everything but I never experienced an ounce of anything supernatural until I became better acquainted with Holy Spirit, which is the second stage. The more I learned about the Holy Spirit and what He does, the more supernatural stuff started happening. The same will happen to you.
The list below (which is by no means complete) is a brief introduction for you to get started. I will actually write more about how Holy Spirit and I got to know each other better in articles to come. I have a few ‘out there’ stories I haven’t shared publicly, but do believe they can be of great help to those who read my blog. Maybe you could put out some grace Bible Studies. I’ve seen a lot of books on grace out there but have yet to encounter one that is a Bible Study doctrine book.
