Ways you can fight:

1.

You can start fighting by declaring the Word of God over yourself. Ps 107:20 says He sent His Word and healed their disease. When you declare His Word over you you are releasing power and faith (Rom 10:8) to bring healing to your body. You also have all authority over demons in Christ and you can command any demon that is oppressing you to leave. Healing and casting out devils go hand in hand. Casting the devil out is removing the cause and healing is the reversal of the symptoms.

You can say something to this effect:

“According to Scripture, sickness and disease are as a result of curses brought on by the law. It is written in Gal 3:13 that Jesus Christ freed me from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for me. I am free of sickness and disease. I am free of (put your sickness here). By the stripes of Jesus, I was healed and I no longer have (put your sickness here). I command all the spirits of infirmity to leave my body right now in the Name of Jesus. It is written that Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil of which sickness is a part. I declare all the works of the devil in my life destroyed and finished. Be gone in Jesus Name!”

Keep on fighting by continually declaring the Word over your life. This is not a magic prayer either. It is the faith in the Name of Jesus and the Word of God that connects you to the power of God.

2.

You can also fight by taking communion. Through the breaking of the bread, which represents Jesus’ body, you are remembering and celebrating the fact that His body was broken for you so you can be freed from sickness and suffering. The wine is the symbol of the shed blood of Jesus that removed all your sins and bought you forgiveness. Celebrate this by not allowing guilt and condemnation to steal from you what Jesus died to give you.

3.

Anoint yourself with oil or have a fellow believer anoint you with oil. Jesus taught the disciples to heal by using oil (Mark 6:13) and James also teaches the use of anointing with oil for healing (James 5:14). Oil represents the anointing of the Holy Spirit that resides in every believer as the guarantee of our inheritance and the power of God to bring freedom from oppression (Luke 4:18-19). The oil itself does not heal but rather it gives you an action to connect to your faith, for faith without action is dead.

4.

Give thanks and praise to Jesus for the finished works of the cross. Acknowledge every good thing that you have in Christ Jesus for this makes the communication of your faith effectual (Philemon 1:6). You can also build yourself up in your most holy faith and stir up the gift that is in you by praying in tongues. (Jude 1:20 & 2 Tim 1:6)
