I think this is awesome Cornel. Masterfully done! I have heard more than once in a church I often speak at, "God cant use or fill a dirty vessel." Well, what you pointed out about the Corinthian church disproves that 'theory.' The Corinthian church fell behind in no gift, was washed & justified by the blood of Jesus, yet Paul said acted carnal. That just takes the pride right out of spiritual junkies because if God cant fill a dirty vessel according to some people, and you have to 'clean up' before you get filled, I wonder 'what people are filled with' who try to get filled by their attempt to be clean instead of by faith in the blood of Jesus? Lastly, when I read the title at first, I thought you were going to refer to 'meaty sermons/messages' as I did, automatically referring to the 'meat' as 'fleshly/carnal messages' that glorify our performance by relating to one another after the flesh and not the spirit, 2Cor.5:16, that indeed is a 'carnal/fleshly/meaty message' that comes from self-righteous people who are 'meat-heads' by performance based preaching. Again, this is awesome, especially the way you rightly divided what Jesus referred to as 'meat' which is the application of what Gods will is and not just the 'hearing' of it. Little nugget I hope you enjoy, the words 'hearers only' in Greek from James 1:22, defines what you just taught us, it is akroates meaning 'to audit a class, rather than receive credit for it.' As long as I am needing milk & refusing to 'exercise' it, I may shake & quake, while auditing how well someone speaks, how they dress, who greets me at the door etc. but I wont 'receive credit' for attending as long as I am drinking & not applying the milk provided. Thanks Cornel.

Haaa-haaa good one Cornel!

I've shaked in the presence too, but shaking in the presence does nothing more than helping us get over our fear of man, and helping us renew our minds.
It's almost like speaking in toungues, it's for our own benfit only, so there is nothing wrong with it.

But lots of people become "glory-junkies", simply living from the one high to the next, becoming useless for the kingdom. It's time people started STANDING under the powr of the Spirit and begin ministering unto others.

If we shake only, it does NOTHING for other people who are opressed of the devil.

However, it's not wrong to get drunk on the New Wine, it's ONLY wanting to get drunk that is the problem...
