What is the definition of sin? I would define it as any thought, action, or behavior that falls short of the perfection of God. Why do we continue to commit sin? "Bad thinking" and ignorance to the Life that dwells in us through Christ. Sin is simply a mistake caused by "bad thinking" and ignorance. The reason that sin is such a big deal is that our bad choices directly effect us and the people around us whether we hold to a belief in Jesus or not. Bad choices will always lead to the experience of "evil" or "wicked" things, death and destruction. Right thinking produces right living. We have access to eternal life. We can daily experience goodness and peace and joy and Love, but this can only happen through right thinking. Praise God that this is not about rules and laws and whatever, but it's about receiving the power of God to live according to the great and precious promises of Life and godliness. Thank you Yahushua (Jesus)!!! Halleluyah!!!

What's up brother? I haven't talked to you in a while; hope that all is well. There is absolutely no doubt that we are under the Law of liberty, however the requirement to live a righteous, sinless, and perfect life is no less important. See, this is one of the most overlooked things that I see in today's Christianity. Grace is the empowerment of the Spirit to live out perfection, to be perfect as He is perfect. Grace doesn't just fill in the gaps where I'm week, covering sin like a band-aid, but raises us up in the character of the Father so that we can live a righteous life today. We've fallen back into a rule-based outside in sanctification process, and often times end up making lame excuses to continue in subpar lives of sin. Like you were saying, this in no way should be casting judgement or condemnation on anyone, sin does that, but this should be received with great joy. The bible says that we are free from the law of sin and death; that when we confess our sins that He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. What that means to those who understand is not only that we are forgiven but also that we no longer have to walk in sin; we're no longer bound by unrighteous living. We are free from sin, not just the consequence. If in any way we continue to excuse sin, which sin really is simply a mistake that comes from ignorance of who we are and the potential that we have, we will not experience what God has prepared for us. Righteous living isn't about a rule book or jumping through hoops, but is the only way to save us from the experience of evil, suffering, death, and destruction. The same power that has bound man is the same power that sets him free. If we could only see that the commands of God are there for our own good. I'm not telling anyone that they need to go follow the Law, but I am saying that we no longer are bound to the way of the world and a life of sin that will always lead to death and destruction whether you believe in Jesus or not. The fullness of God dwells in you, and you already are perfect in spirit for you have the Spirit of the Living God. Righteous living comes from recognizing the power of God in you, the same power that raised Christ from the dead, the same power that created all things. If we would but understand the Life that is in us and let that flow through us. The problem with living by the Law is that it's an outside in approach. What I'm talking about is inside out. I pray that those who read this would have eyes that see as God Himself sees; that they would have ears that hear what the Spirit is saying; increase in wisdom and understanding; overflow with Life; and that the Love of the Almighty God would consume your being. Blessings
